About Nadine Block
An educator, child advocate, writer and painter, Nadine has worked as a teacher, school psychologist and consultant to education and mental health organizations. She founded a non-profit organization to end school corporal punishment and led a group of 50 organizations which achieved a ban on school corporal punishment (paddling) in Ohio in 2009, an effort that took over 20 years. When she retired in 2010, she took up painting and writing. She published three books and exhibited and sold paintings in the past l2 years. She is a widow, mother of three sons (two deceased), and grandmother of seven children. She moved to a retirement home in 2021.

The blog is about living life after 70 with joy, resilience, and purpose. NOT in the slow lane, YET is a source of positive, helpful advice encouraging people to set and achieve goals and find joy in life. The blog will cover personal experiences and thoughts and concerns. Topics of blogs will be health, retirement, fashion, travel, and living in continuing care retirement communities.
